Introduction

Some websites you scroll. Others you remember.

You've probably seen one of the second kind: a luxury watch spinning in 3D as you scroll, light catching the metal, the camera gliding through a world built just for that product. It feels less like a website and more like a short film you control.

If you're looking at Immersive Garden, you probably want something like that for your brand. Maybe you're a marketing lead at a luxury or tech company with a big launch coming up. Maybe you're an agency looking for a production partner who can actually build the wild idea you pitched.

Either way, you're about to spend serious money on a studio whose website shows stunning work but tells you very little about price, process or what it's like to work with them. In this review, I'll walk you through who Immersive Garden is, what it's known for, what it likely costs, what's missing from its public reputation, and when it's the right call.

The Short Answer: Is Immersive Garden Worth It?

Immersive Garden is worth it if you need a premium, award-level 3D or interactive web experience and have the budget for it, but it's not built for everyday websites or small budgets.

How I Wrote This Review

I put this review together in early November 2026. I looked at Immersive Garden's own project pages, its Awwwards history, an Awwwards interview with the team, and its DesignRush profile and Google reviews.

I haven't worked with Immersive Garden myself. I run a small design studio, so I'm looking at this as a designer who builds websites and understands what goes into this kind of work, and what it costs in time and effort.

Who Is Immersive Garden?

Immersive Garden is a digital design and production studio based in Paris, in the 10th arrondissement. It designs and develops websites, apps and interactive installations in-house, with a strong focus on 3D, motion and real-time graphics in the browser.

About 75% of its work is for clients outside France, according to its DesignRush profile. The team is under 50 people.

A quick bit of history

Immersive Garden has been around since the mid-2010s. It made its name on Awwwards, the website awards platform that design studios watch closely.

At the Awwwards Conference in Berlin, it won Studio of the Year and Developer Site of the Year for a project called This Mobile Workforce. An Awwwards interview from March 2018 describes the team as a young studio taking risks on experimental work. DesignRush lists Studio of the Year wins in 2017, 2018 and 2020.

What makes it different

Most web agencies design a site, then build it. Immersive Garden thinks more like a film or game studio. The experience often starts with a 3D world, a camera path or an interaction, and the "website" is built around that.

That's why its work wins awards. It's also why it's not the right studio for a simple marketing site.

What Services Does Immersive Garden Offer?

Which industries does it work in?

Luxury is the clearest one. Its Cartier work shows it can handle a brand where every detail matters. DesignRush also lists clients like Orano (energy) and Citrix (technology), so it isn't only fashion and jewelry.

Immersive Garden's Clients and Notable Projects

Immersive Garden's strongest public proof is its long relationship with Cartier. Its own site lists several Cartier projects:

  • Watches & Wonders 2023 and 2024: digital showcases for Cartier's new watches at the big Geneva watch fair.

  • End of Year 2022 and 2023: interactive festive campaigns, including "Above the Clouds."

  • Love Is All: a campaign experience that was recognized at the 2022 Webby Awards for its use of video and moving image.

Repeat work for a brand like Cartier says a lot. Luxury houses are demanding, and they don't keep coming back to a studio that misses deadlines or cuts corners.

Other clients listed on its profiles include Orano and Citrix.

What Do Clients Say About Immersive Garden?

This is where the public picture gets thin.

Immersive Garden doesn't have a Clutch profile with client reviews. Its DesignRush page shows a 4.9 Google rating from 8 reviews, which is positive but too small to tell you much. One reviewer calls it "the best web agency in Paris." Another, from years ago, calls it a "young studio full of talented people."

What strengths come through

  • Craft. Awards and repeat luxury clients point to very high visual and technical quality.

  • In-house development. Design and code live in the same team, which matters a lot for 3D work.

  • Experience with big brands. Multiple seasons of Cartier work suggests it can handle approvals, timelines and brand rules.

What's missing

There are almost no detailed reviews about the working process: how they handle feedback, budgets, delays or changes. For a big-budget project, that's the information you most want.

The fix is simple. Ask for two client references from projects similar in size to yours, and actually call them.

Is Immersive Garden Legit?

Yes. It's an established Paris studio with a public address, a long Awwwards record, and repeat work for one of the most demanding luxury brands in the world. There's nothing to suggest otherwise.

The question isn't whether it's real. It's whether your project and budget match the kind of work it does best.

How Much Does Immersive Garden Cost?

Immersive Garden doesn't publish prices. DesignRush lists both its minimum budget and hourly rate as "Inquire."

So here's my honest estimate, based on what this kind of work involves. These are my own market ranges, not the studio's numbers:

Project type

What it usually involves

Rough budget range (my estimate)

Campaign microsite with 3D

Concept, 3D assets, WebGL build, testing

Mid five figures to low six figures (USD or EUR)

Flagship immersive website

Several sections, custom 3D world, CMS

Six figures

Installation or event piece

Hardware, interaction design, on-site setup

Quote only; varies a lot

Why it costs this much

A 3D web experience isn't one designer and one developer. It usually needs an art director, 3D artists, motion designers, creative developers and someone testing it on dozens of devices. Every second of smooth animation has hours behind it.

A worked example

Say you're the digital lead at a premium headphone brand launching a new model.

You want a launch page where the headphones float in space, break apart to show the drivers inside, then come back together as the user scrolls. It needs to work on phones and load fast.

A studio like Immersive Garden would likely:

  1. Concept (2 to 3 weeks): storyboard the scroll journey and the "wow" moments.

  2. 3D production (3 to 5 weeks): model or optimize the product and build the scenes.

  3. Development (4 to 6 weeks): build it in WebGL and make it run smoothly.

  4. Testing and launch (1 to 2 weeks): device testing, performance fixes, analytics.

That's roughly 10 to 16 weeks, and a budget well into six figures. If you have $15,000 and three weeks, this isn't the right studio, and that's fine.

Immersive Garden vs Other Interactive Studios

Immersive Garden sits in a small group of studios known for award-winning 3D web work. Lusion (UK), Active Theory (US), Resn (New Zealand), Merci-Michel (Paris) and Locomotive (Montreal) are often in the same conversation.

The differences are mostly about style and focus. Immersive Garden's public work leans luxury, elegant and polished. Some of the others lean more playful, experimental or game-like. Look at each studio's last three projects and ask which one feels closest to your brand.

My Honest Design Opinion

As a designer, I'm impressed by this kind of work. Building a 3D experience that looks good and runs smoothly on an average phone is really hard. Most studios can do one or the other.

But I'd give you one honest warning: immersive sites can hurt basic goals if you're not careful. Heavy 3D can slow loading, confuse people looking for simple information, and make SEO harder. That's fine for a campaign meant to impress. It's a problem for a website meant to sell every day.

So my advice is to use a studio like Immersive Garden for the moment (a launch, a campaign, a flagship story) and keep your everyday website simple, fast and easy to update.

Pros of Immersive Garden

  • Award-winning craft. Multiple Awwwards Studio of the Year wins.

  • Luxury trust. Repeat Cartier campaigns over several years.

  • In-house development. Design and 3D code in one team.

  • International experience. About 75% of its work is for clients abroad.

  • Covers web and physical. It can also do installations and event experiences.

Cons of Immersive Garden

  • No public pricing. You'll only learn the cost on a call.

  • Few client reviews. Very little public feedback on the working process.

  • Not for small budgets. This kind of work is expensive by nature.

  • Heavy experiences need care. Performance and SEO can suffer if the brief isn't clear.

  • Not built for everyday sites. Less suited to simple, frequently updated marketing sites.

Who Should Hire Immersive Garden?

Immersive Garden is a good fit for:

  • luxury and premium brands launching a product or campaign,

  • tech companies that want a memorable flagship experience,

  • agencies needing a production partner for an ambitious 3D idea,

  • brands that want to compete for design awards.

Who Should Look Elsewhere?

Look elsewhere if you:

  • need a fast, simple marketing website,

  • have a budget under about $30,000,

  • need lots of small updates every month,

  • care most about SEO and page speed,

  • need a studio that publishes clear prices.

Questions to Ask Before You Sign

  1. "Can you share two references from projects like mine?"

  2. "What's the realistic budget range for what I've described?"

  3. "How will the site perform on mid-range phones?"

  4. "Who on your team will lead my project day to day?"

  5. "Can my team update content after launch, or do we need you?"

  6. "What happens to the 3D assets and code after the project ends?"

Best Immersive Garden Alternatives

These aren't ranked. Most are interactive studios at a similar level. I've also included myself, because some people looking at Immersive Garden really need a great website, not a 3D world.

A Quick Note About Me

I'm Subarno, and I run a small design and no-code studio. I won't pretend I can build what Immersive Garden builds. A Cartier-level 3D campaign needs a full team of 3D artists and creative developers.

But a lot of brands start out wanting "something like that" and really need a beautiful, fast website with tasteful scroll animations. That's where I come in. My $1,000/month retainer covers:

  • website design in Figma,

  • website builds in Framer or Webflow,

  • branding for smaller businesses, like logos, colors and brand guides,

  • small website animations and interactions,

  • banners, posters and social media content.

Most of my work is white-label for agencies, so you get one designer, one task at a time, and quick turnarounds. If that sounds closer to what you need, book a free 30-minute call or reach me on my contact page. If you truly need a world-class 3D experience, Immersive Garden is a strong choice, and I'd tell you so.

Final Verdict: Is Immersive Garden Worth It?

Immersive Garden is one of the studios people point to when they talk about the best of interactive web design. Its Awwwards record and years of Cartier campaigns back that up.

It's worth it if you have a big moment to mark, a clear story, and the budget and timeline to do it properly. It's not the right choice for an everyday website or a small budget. Go in with references, a clear goal and a realistic number, and you'll have a much better conversation.
